    Head Girls Basketball Coach

    Position Overview

    Sayre Public Schools is seeking a dynamic, student-centered leader to serve as Head Girls Basketball Coach. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to building a competitive program while fostering character, teamwork, discipline, and academic success among student-athletes.

    The teaching field is open and will be paired with a spring sport coaching assignment.

    Primary Responsibilities

    Coaching Duties:

    • Lead and oversee all aspects of the girls' basketball program from grades 5-12.
    • Develop practice plans, game strategies, and off-season programming.
    • Promote academic achievement and positive citizenship among student-athletes.
    • Maintain compliance with all district and state athletic association policies.
    • Organize scheduling, equipment management, and program communication.
    • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members.

    Teaching Duties:

    • Teach assigned courses in a certified content area.
    • Maintain a positive and effective classroom environment.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to support student success.
    • Fulfill all district expectations related to instruction and professional responsibilities.

    Additional Coaching Assignment:

    • Serve as head or assistant coach for an assigned spring sport.

    Qualifications

    • Valid state teaching certificate (open teaching field).
    • Previous coaching experience preferred.
    • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
    • Ability to build and sustain a positive program culture.
    • CDL preferred. Candidates without a CDL must be willing to obtain one within a specified timeframe.

    Additional Requirements

    • Willingness to supervise student-athletes during travel and school-related activities.
    • Commitment to year-round program development.
    • Ability to pass all required background checks.

    • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that support diverse learners.

    • Utilize effective instructional strategies and classroom management practices.

    • Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents.

    • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.

    Student Support Responsibilities

    • Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.

    • Promote positive behavior, character development, and citizenship.

    • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure student success.

    • Participate in professional development and school improvement initiatives.

    Bus Drivers

    Position Overview

    Sayre Public Schools is accepting applications for dependable, safety-minded individuals to serve as Bus Drivers. We are seeking team members who are committed to transporting students safely and responsibly each day while representing our district with professionalism and care.


    Primary Responsibilities

    • Safely transport students to and from school and school-related activities.

    • Follow all traffic laws and district transportation policies.

    • Maintain order and safety on the bus.

    • Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

    • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel.


    Qualifications

    • Valid CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements required (or willingness to obtain).

    • Clean driving record.

    • Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.

    • Ability to work positively with students of all ages.
